The Holy Ghost and Fire

The kingdom of heaven operates by Fire. The kingdom of God on Earth should simulate the kingdom of Heaven.

Our God is a consuming Fire. Jesus Christ baptizes by the Holy Ghost and Fire. The Holy Spirit is the producer of Fire. Angels are ministers of Fire

“For our God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:29 KJV

“Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:” Psalms 104:4 KJV

Jesus is the baptizer of the The Holy Spirit and Fire. The Holy Ghost produces the Fire of God. When the Holy is released in your life, he comes with the baptismal by Fire.

“John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:” Luke 3:16 KJV

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:” Matthew 3:11 KJV

The Fire of the Holy Ghost awakens the presence of the Spirit within.

The Fire of the Holy Ghost releases the fervency and the Power necessary for effective ministry. The Fire keeps your spirit burning with the zeal of God.

“And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.” John 2:17 KJV

It is God’s purpose that our Fire never goes out.

“The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.” Leviticus 6:13 KJV

The baptismal by Fire came on the day of Pentecost. You can never experience the Fire of God without receiving Holy Ghost baptism. The outpouring of the Holy Ghost produces the Fire of God.

“And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

Acts 2:1-4 KJV

The purpose of the Fire of the Holy Ghost

1- Revival and outpouring of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:1-4, Joel 2:28

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.” Joel 2:28-30 KJV

2- The Word of God comes as Fire to destroy the work of the enemy.

“Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.” Jeremiah 20:9 KJV

3- The Fire refines a believer.

“Every thing that may abide the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be clean: nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water.” Numbers 31:23 KJV

“But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:” Malachi 3:2 KJV

4- For the work of the Ministry: For you shall receive Power through the baptismal of Fire when the Holy Ghost comes upon you for the work of the ministry.

“For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Acts 1:5, 8 KJV

5-To initiate or stir up spiritual giftings.

“Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 2 Timothy 1:6 KJV

6- Burn off the fleshy desires, keeping us spiritually alert

“And that which remaineth of the flesh and of the bread shall ye burn with fire.”

Leviticus 8:32 KJV

7-Fervency in the Spirit: The Fire of God causes us to be fervent in the Spirit.

“Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;” Romans 12:11 KJV

8-The devil cannot stand the Fire of God’s Presence.

“For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.”

Isaiah 66:15 KJV

“A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.” Psalms 97:3 KJV

“And there went out fire from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.”Leviticus 10:2 KJV

9-The Lord judges the enemy and even believers by Fire.

“Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.”

1 Corinthians 3:13 KJV

“And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”

Matthew 13:42 KJV
